Very experienced in practical thin films design and process development, application of industrial Design Of Experiments methodology (DOE), optical systems development and tolerancing, ion/plasma source application, seminars and in-house short courses.  Member of the Optical Society of America for five decades, and experienced in optical system and coating development and production.  Consulted for over 30 years with many divisions of General Electric, Martin, General Motors, etc.  Has served as an expert forensic witness for optical systems and coating litigations. Announcement: A one week course will be provided in the Practical Design and Production of Optical Thin Films: including all of the material in the two books of like titles, thin film design software, and additional material. The course is intended to be valuable to seasoned thin film scientists and engineers as well as new coating engineers and technicians. The tutorial material will also be interspersed with practical design and evaluation exercises of the various subjects using FilmStar computer aided design software on individual computers.
